Holiday at home this year has never been more relevant since Covid-19. Boat sales are up, and we have learnt to have fun in our own backyard instead of travelling overseas. With the growing trend of Marinas being managed by larger companies, this does create an exciting prospect of reciprocal rights. Meaning you can berth at other marinas as part of your current Marina fees. They are starting to become almost like a gym membership. Check with your Marina, you may have benefits in other towns/Marinas. Or if not, casual berthing is always an option.

So, why not take advantage of this and explore different waterways in Australia. Relocate your boat for a month or two to another Marina, and fly or drive to that new destination once, or multiple times to enjoy new scenery and make more memories.

Better still, get together with your buddy’s and all move to another Marina for a short time. Or maybe you have friends in that town that you never get to spend much time with. Marina Hop!
